Sowdarsini

For decades, my father had spent his time trying to advance Sanskrit to the world. He developed his own techniques to simplify Sanskrit so everyone could learn to speak. He published two series of books in the seventies exclusively on Sudharsana strothas (slokasa/verses). He named them as Sowdarsini series. In 1988, after his retirement, he published the third series under Sowdarsini Series but the third series was about Sanskrit Multiplication Table with Sanskrit Nursery Rhymes. There were, in all, three series that he published. We are reproducing them for everyone’s benefit, here.

Sri P. K. Srinivasan was the eldest son of Sri. P. V. Krishnaswamy Iyengar. My paternal grandfather had similar vision and my father and Sri. Sampath created scholarship to aid students learning Sanskrit. My father always believed in advancement of knowledge. To that end, we decided to publish his works as much as possible and promote his teachings and works. This is one way of fulfilling his dreams.
